YOUTH DIGITAL EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE
Time Saver
At OmTech, we believe technology is one of the most powerful tools for creating opportunity.
Unfortunately, many children in children’s homes and youth care centres across South Africa do not have access to computers or digital learning resources.
The OmTech Youth Digital Empowerment Initiative was created to help close this gap by providing laptops and digital learning environments for underprivileged children.
Why This Initiative Matters
In today’s world, digital skills are essential for education and employment. Many children’s homes care for large groups of children but have limited access to computers or technology.
Without digital access, children face challenges such as:
01
Limited ability to complete school assignments
02
Lack of exposure to digital skills
03
Reduced access to online educational resources
04
Fewer opportunities to explore technology careers
Our initiative helps provide these children with access to the tools they need to learn, grow and succeed.
Our Solution
OmTech works with children’s homes and youth centres to establish Digital Learning Centres.
Each centre provides a safe and structured space where children can access technology for education and skills development.

These centres provide children with the opportunity to develop essential digital literacy skills.
Each centre may include:
✓ 8-12 Laptops
✓ Internet connectivity
✓ Educational software and digital learning tools
✓ Access to coding and STEM learning tools
✓ Homework and research support
Long-Term Vision
Our vision is to create a network of Digital Learning Centres across Gauteng and eventually throughout South Africa.
Through partnerships with organisations and corporate sponsors, we aim to:
Expand technology access to vulnerable communities
Introduce young people to digital skills and coding
Support education and career readiness
Empower the next generation through technology
Partner With Us
We welcome partnerships with organisations that share our commitment to education and youth empowerment.
